NetSuite Items and Item Groups
NetSuite Items are used as line items while creating any transactions.
Few things to note while using the NetSuite Item as transaction line items:
- Whether the NetSuite Item is active. Go to the NetSuite Items Tab in Breadwinner and see whether the Item record as Inactive checkbox checked
- NetSuite Items are used based on their subsidiary classification.
- Sales / Purchases transactions use different NetSuite Items.
While creating a transaction, the NetSuite Company (customer/vendor) has the Primary Subsidiary, and only those NetSuite Items which come under that Subsidiary or as a part of Include Children can be used as line items.
According to NetSuite
A subsidiary must be associated with an item in order for the item to be added to a transaction related to that Subsidiary. For example, you can enter a sales order and select the Wolfe US subsidiary on the transaction. When you select an item to add to the sales order, only items associated with Wolfe US can be added to the sales order. Include Children when checked is used to share the item with all the sub-subsidiaries associated with each subsidiary selected in the Subsidiary field.

* Currently, these item types are only available for Estimates and Sales Orders, and for the rest of the supported transactions, it is still in beta. To enable them for all transactions, please contact Breadwinner support.
Item Group can not have description, other-charge sale, and subtotal items as its sub-items. You can't edit the individual line items of the Item Group. Hence we need to consider the following few things:
1. Some of the item types like Lot and Serialized items that need Inventory details can't be part of the Item Group
2. A default Rate should bepresentfor each sub-item at NetSuite Side.
