The checkout URL allows you to send a unique link to a customer that takes them to a processor-hosted checkout payment page for them to pay for goods and services.

:::hint{type="info"}
What that payment page looks like is controlled by how you set it up in the payment processor. We only give you the link to the page.
:::

When creating a checkout URL, use the requestJSON to pass in the checkout data. The returned response will contain a responseJSON section with the URL to send to the customer.

The checkout URL has its own properties for [Stripe](https://docs.breadwinner.com/payments/checkout-url-stripe) and [Square](https://docs.breadwinner.com/payments/checkout-url-square) processors. Click on the respective processor for further guidance.
