Bill fields from Opportunity

This section is used to map Bill default fields (other than Line Item fields) with the fields from Opportunity while creating Bill.

If you wish to map data on an object other than the Opportunity, please create a formula field on the Opportunity to pull in the data.

Bill Custom Transaction Number will be useful when you want to assign your own custom transaction number or blank Bill number while creating Bill.

Bill Line Item Preference

QuickBooks allows two entirely different types of line items on Bills. These line item types are called "Account Details" and "Item Details". While "Item Details" are more appropriate for specific products or quantified services, "Account Details" are more appropriate for general services or non-inventory items you might receive.

While Breadwinner can push Opportunity Products to either "Account Details" or Item Details", we can only push to one, not both simultaneously. You need to select which you want to have your Opportunity Products populate. You can still manually add other lines in either category during an individual Bill creation.

Bill Default Line Item Fields

Bill Line Item Fields are populated from the Opportunity line item object. This only affects Bills created from Opportunities.

All mapped fields must be on the Opportunity Product. If you wish to map data on an object other than the Opportunity Product, please create a formula field on the Opportunity Product to pull in the data.

Bill Mapping to Opportunity

Bill Mapping is only used if your Bills are created directly in QuickBooks, but not via Breadwinner, and you want those Bills matched back to a specific Opportunity. This is a common situation if your Finance Team creates the Bills directly in QuickBooks, or an API / Third-Party Integration or a repeating Bill needs subsequent Bills matched to an Opportunity.

At the time Breadwinner first discovers the Bill (but not upon later edits) Breadwinner will try to match a QuickBooks Bill No. or Memo with an Opportunity ID. To do this enable the following checkbox.

For this to work, you'll need to have the Opportunity ID in either the Bill Number or the Bill Memo. The Opportunity ID always starts with 006 and can be seen in the URL when you are on the Opportunity record. The full Opportunity ID might look like "00636000006uQ7hAAE". The Opportunity ID can be anywhere in the Bill Number or Bill Memo.
