Partner Community users cannot be assigned Salesforce permission sets that include 'View All' or 'Modify All' on objects, and all the Breadwinner permission sets include *View *
*All Records* to ensure full access to accounting objects. As a result, Breadwinner permission sets cannot be assigned directly to users with Partner Community licenses.

To allow Partner Community users to work with Breadwinner for QuickBooks objects, you must:

1. Create a custom permission set that grants read object and field access.
2. Ensure tab visibility is enabled where required.
3. Create Sharing Rules to allow users to view relevant Breadwinner records.
4. Assign this permission set to the Partner Community user.

### Create a Custom Permission Set and Assign Object Access

To grant access, we will create a custom permission set that provides Read access and tab visibility for the Breadwinner objects required by the user.

1. Go to Setup → Permission Sets → New
2. Name it, for example: Breadwinner QuickBooks - Partner Community Access
3. Leave License = None
4. Click Save

### Assign Object & Field Permissions

1. Open the permission set.
2. Go to Object Settings.
3. Select each Breadwinner for the QuickBooks object your Partner Community user needs.
4. Click Edit.
5. Enable:
   - Object Permission → Read
   - Tab Settings-> Visibile → Default On
6. Save.

## Create Sharing Rules

This step ensures that Partner Community users can see the actual record data, since object permissions alone do not grant record-level visibility.

Sharing Rules must also be created for each object to ensure record-level visibility. You can refer to the [Sharing Rules](http://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?language=en_US\&id=sf.security_about_sharing_rules.htm\&type=5) section for detailed guidance.

1. Go to Setup → Sharing Settings
2. In the Manage sharing settings for dropdown, select the Breadwinner object (e.g., BW\_QB\_\_Invoice\_\_c)
3. Scroll to Sharing Rules, click New
4. Configure as follows and Save:

| Step | Field | Value |
| ---- | -------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| 1 | Rule Name | Share All QuickBooks Invoices to Partner Community |
| 2 | Rule Type | Guest user access, based on criteria |
| 3 | Criteria Field | Created By ID |
| | Operator | not equal to |
| | Value | *(leave blank)* |
| 4 | Share With | Your Partner Community Role or Role & Subordinates |
| 5 | Default Access | Read Only |

2. Click Edit Assignments.

4. Click Add → Save.
