QuickBooks Company/Customer Record Page Buttons have become "Greyed Out"
The buttons on the QuickBooks Company/Customer Record page ( Edit, Control Sync Status, and Reparent) will be greyed out and non-functional if your Salesforce user profile does not have Read access to the required fields listed below. FYI: As part of recent Breadwinner enhancements aligned with Salesforce security guidelines, we now use secure queries. As a result, we have made a few changes to our pages to align with these security guidelines. For the buttons to be enabled and functional, the following fields require Read access: Required fields - Account Object:
- BillingAddress
- ShippingAddress
- Phone
- AccountNumber
- Website
- OwnerId
Required fields - Contact Object:
- FirstName
- LastName
To resolve this:
- Go to Setup → Profiles for the affected user(s)
- Open Field-Level Security for each object above
- Grant Read access to all the fields listed above.
- Save the changes
Once the required access is given, the QuickBooks Company/Customert buttons should be fully enabled and functional.
Note: The same field-level security requirements also apply to the "Edit QuickBooks Company/Customer before Creating the Invoice" link.
The following UI elements will be disabled (greyed out) if the Salesforce user does not have Read access to the required fields listed in the template:
- Edit QuickBooks Company/Customer before Creating the Invoice link
- QuickBooks Company/Customer Record page buttons:
- Edit
- Control Sync Status
- Reparent
